Creativity is a way of viewing the world and shaping it according to your beliefs. My ideas are as valuable as others’ ideas; both are valid and are creations of humanity based on its surroundings. Sometimes things don’t align, and even though you have the correct idea, it might not connect with the world if it is not related to you or your efforts. You can’t force or predict whether the world will accept what you have done; the only thing you can do is create and persevere. If you can be creative and work towards your goals and ideas, you will ultimately be more successful. Your view of the world is different from others’, and sharing your view and collaborating with others can lead to even greater things beyond your own vision and imagination. Success is neither revolutionary nor permanent, so don’t be discouraged by setbacks. Most people won’t know their impact on the world, and sometimes it takes years or even centuries after their death for this to be recognised. Be yourself, do what feels right to you. You will find people who resonate with your work — you don’t have to force it on others. The more opportunities you take, the more you create and share, the more likely you are to get what you want. Having ideas is not enough — everyone has ideas. What counts is acting on your ideas and finding a way to shape them into reality.

Personally, I always struggle to be creative. It’s not something I can just switch on. However, I can nurture my creativity by reading lots of different books, listening to instrumental music, going for walks in nature, and writing things down. This usually leads me to develop new ideas in different areas — I often connect different things in my mind and come up with ideas that I think could be interesting to pursue, just to see what the result might be. If it’s a project, I write it down, and if it’s something I want to draw, I make a sketch. Obviously, many ideas will remain just that, but it’s beneficial to have a collection and transform thoughts into tangible concepts.
